Last weekend, I got the chance to travel up to the Adirondack Mountains to visit with some family. I have been super stressed and after a crazy few weeks at work, I needed a little weekend getaway. My parents had asked if I wanted to join them up in the Adirondack Mountains and I was all about getting away. I needed to recharge my batteries and escape the chaos of my schedule for a little bit. Something about escaping up to the Adirondacks reminds me of my childhood and spending summers up at the lake. We arrived just in time for a late lunch in which we ate a chicken noodle stew. It was SOO good! The sun was in and out all day but luckily it wasn't too cold. After sitting in the car for a few hours, my dad and I decided to get some exercise and snowshoe. It was my first time every doing it and let me tell you...it was such a workout!!! My aunt has a beautiful home right off of the lake, and the views are breathtaking!!
I didn't realize how much I needed a getaway until I was sitting there, enjoying the snowy outdoors and spending time with family. I could feel the stress melting away!
Sunday morning, I woke up in my cozy flannel jammies, and sat by the fire, drinking my green tea. I felt at peace and was excited for what the next few weeks would bring. I felt a new zing of energy and finished my breakfast, got up and went back out for some more exercise!! My legs and booty definitely felt it!
