This month has been CRAZY! I have been traveling non-stop and I love every second of it. Well, I don't like the long drives or flights, but I love it once I'm there. Anywayyy, Scotty and I were talking on our drive home from Vermont the other day (post on that trip coming soon!) and we realized that we have been away EVERY WEEKEND this month!! That's wild!
We have seen and done so much in a short amount of time and loved every second of it. From city trips with friends, to exploring Ontario together, to jet skiing at the lake, we have had a great month. That being said, we're both wiped out. My body has been feeling more sluggish and I know it's from going non-stop. I'm grateful for this upcoming weekend because I can finally RELAX! Scotty will be in Vegas for a bachelor party so I have the house to myself! (Sorry babe!)
I'm grateful that I can take time for ME while I relax and rejuvenate my body, mind, and soul. Taking time for yourself is so important because it makes you a happier person. Spending time alone benefits not only you, but those around you. When you take time for YOU, you have a healthier and happier mindset.
I read a quote the other day on Thrive Global and feel it sums up this post perfectly. "If you aren’t happy, mentally, emotionally, physically, then how can you give it your all in business and for others? If you can’t care for yourself, how can you care for anyone else?" I love this! Go out and do something for YOU. Do something that makes you happy!

- Go to the beach or lake (#sunbum)
- Lay by the pool (because I love a good summer tan)
- Go to the gym
- Take a walk
- Watch a movie

I am giving you all permission to take time for yourselves. Don't feel guilty about it or second guess it. We all need time for ourselves, so why not enjoy our time doing something we love?!
