Every couple of months, Scotty and I get together with our friends, usually in or around New York City. Our friends consisting of 2 other couples, have gotten close, as the boys grew up together. Thanks to their long lasting friendship, they have now introduced and added their significant others to the group. We make a pretty dynamic group, as we have a married couple, an engaged couple, and a dating couple. (Yep, I'm in the dating relationship lol)
New York City is usually the focal point of meeting up as Scotty, Billy, Elise, and I take the train to Grand Central. From there, Kenny and Ekta take us all over and introduce us to new restaurants, places, and cool spots in both New York and New Jersey.
I love New York City and all that it has to offer. It really is the city that never sleeps. However, I have now fallen in love with Hoboken and Jersey City too. Luckily, they're super close...and the views are incredible!
I was blown away by everything we did throughout the weekend, and it was definitely one for the books! Read on to check out how we spent the weekend!

Dinner at Tutto il Giorno in Tribeca, NYC
Two Words. Cornish Hen. I'm still speechless at how amazing this dinner was! From drinks, to appetizers, to the main dish...everything was phenomenal. The decor is chic and modern with a modern twist, and the view of the greenery is breathtaking. (They also have 2 other locations; Sag Harbor and South Hampton).
Ice Cream at Morgenstern's
We walked here per Elise's cravings and ravings. Unfortunately, the store wasn't open yet, however, they did have a cart with multiple flavors. They're claim to fame is that they design the ice cream with the flavor in mind first, bringing attention to the flavor and palate.

Scotty and I went for a morning workout and run with a view of the Manhattan skyline. It was breathtaking. And the view was incredible too haha. Seriously though, Scotty and I took the path alongside the Hudson River and and stopped our run to take in the view of Manhattan early in the morning. We decided to do some HIIT workouts before the day ahead. It was incredibly peaceful.
Brunch at Bubby's in Tribeca, NYC
Green Cilanto Rice. Yes please. Huevos Rancheros. Yes please. The food here is delicious and we were lucky to get in without having to wait forever. They don't take reservations so make sure you get there or don't mind waiting. This place is a must for brunch. Oh, and try the biscuits. You'll thank me later.
Escape Room at Escape Games NYC in New York City
The 6 of us have done an Escape the Room almost each time we get together. It has become a tradition for us to do one of these. However, this place is by far by favorite. Not only was the game so much fun, but we made Top 5 in fastest times. Yessss!!!! I will definitely be going back there.
Dinner at Razza in Jersey City, New Jersey
Third time is the charm! We have been trying to get in here FOREVER!! Kenny and Ekta have hyped this place up since the beginning and every time we go, the wait is over 2 hours! Sadly, they don't take reservations so you need to get there or you will wait. But, I will tell you...the WAIT IS WORTH IT! The pizza is phenomenal and the appetizers are amazing. Farm to table food and family owned and you must try the bread and melted butter. You're welcome.
Drinks at Lutze Biergarten in Jersey City, New Jersey
Wow. This is a must do! Lutze has an outdoor venue with a river front view of Manhattan. With a beachy, outdoor festival vibe, you can sit and chill with friends as you eat and drink on picnic tables, adirondack chairs, or you can play games on the grass with Manhattan in the background.
Drinks at House of 'Que in Hoboken, New Jersey
This is one of my FAVORITE places ever! The first time I was introduced to the House of 'Que was for a bachelorette party. I knew then that I would be back. BBQ food and Dueling Pianos is an experience you don't want to miss.
This trip was so busy and eventful, yet I had a great time. Nothing beats spending time with close friends and exploring new places together.
I'd love to hear if you've bene to any of these places or if you have recommendations for new places for us to check out!!
