I love New York City and all that it has to offer. It really is the city that never sleeps. However, I have now fallen in love with Hoboken and Jersey City too. Luckily, they're super close...and the views are incredible!
I was blown away by everything we did throughout the weekend, and it was definitely one for the books! Read on to check out how we spent the weekend!
Ladies! My favorite fleece is back in stock and it comes in a variety of colors. I have the Olive/Cream color but I'm loving the Black/Grey option. Might need to buy that. This is one of the SOFTEST fleece pullovers I have ever come across, and the asymmetrical snap-up on front neckline adds so much style! My boyfriend wanted to know if they sold them for men LOL (as far as I know, nope).
I had the best birthday weekend filled with plenty of quality time with friends and family!! I love having it near Valentine's Day because it makes me so loved!! The celebrations started a day early when my boyfriend surprised me with a huge present! Yep, he got me those gold beats I had posted about in Valentine's Gifts for Her!! I was shocked!! (Although he pranked me as he gave me an empty box first! HAHA)
Ever since I've been a little girl, I've been into the idea of love. Finding it, watching it, and having it for myself. I love the candy and roses too, but I love love. It's magical when you truly find that special person. My mom and dad have always left me little notes and chocolates and I still get them today. They're adorable and so in love. (Can we say #goals?) For so long, I watched my parent's love grow and grow. They've been married forever and love each other more everyday. It's disgustingly cute, especially when they stroll down memory lane. I wanted a love like theirs. I wanted to be obnoxiously cute with someone.
Alright ladies, now that I have suggested ideas on what to get your man for Valentine's Day...it's YOUR turn!! Some of these gifts are perfect for your man to purchase, while others are great to give your girls as a "galentine's" day gift. (Think mom, sister, bestie..) Make sure to tell your man what you want, and don't be shy. (Feel free to direct them to this post haha).
Gift gifting can be stressful, especially for the men in your life. The gift(s) don't have to be magnificent, just a little something that says I love you and I thought about you. So today, I want to share with you Valentine's Day gifts for him! Regardless if it is for your husband, boyfriend, brother, friend, or any guy in your life, I've got you covered!
Last weekend, I got the chance to travel up to the Adirondack Mountains to visit with some family. I have been super stressed and after a crazy few weeks at work, I needed a little weekend getaway. My parents had asked if I wanted to join them up in the Adirondack Mountains and I was all about getting away. I needed to recharge my batteries and escape the chaos of my schedule for a little bit. Something about escaping up to the Adirondacks reminds me of my childhood and spending summers up at the lake.
Hi my sassy babes!! I have been organizing my closet for what seems like months! I have SO much jewelry and needed a place where I could see it when I was getting ready. I don't like to keep a lot of my bling laying around the bedroom, because it not only feels cluttered, but Scotty doesn't want to have to look at all of it.
I absolutely LOVEEEEE my new logo! Genius work right there! Anyway, the story behind my logo and blog is this...I have always had a love for fashion and clothes, ever since I was a little girl. I used to play dress up in my mom's closet and stomp around in her high heels and accessorize myself with her sunglasses, jewelry, hats...you name it! As I got older, I found my own style within my own closet. I was a sassy little girl....I would put on an outfit, strut around my block, play a little, run home, change into ANOTHER outfit, and repeat the pattern. (Apparently I did this multiple times a day!) Hence the name Born Sassy and Chic.
It's been a quiet few days on the blog front as I have been cuddled up under the blankets. It is SO cold in New York! I'm not ready for the frigid temps to come back...but then again, I never am. (I'm a beach goddess, hands down!) As a teacher, I had no school in honor of Martin Luther King, so I got up early, went to Pilates, and then drove out to my parents house. As I was driving through town, everything was frozen solid. The river was a sheet of ice with crazy beautiful ice chunks. Inspiration HIT me like, well a chunk of ice! I had to do a photoshoot with some of my winter musts alongside this breathtaking scenery!!
